Our theme for 2021 is Vision and revision: virtual libraries and new beginnings. The Board of Directors and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries support the statements made by our colleagues at the American Library Association (ALA) and the Medical Library Association (MLA) and join them in condemning the violent attempts to undermine our democracy on January 6, 2021. The Student Annual Meeting Grant is for library science students to attend the online annual meeting. It too covers registration and one 4-hour continuing education program. The Distinguished Librarian of the Year Award recognizes a member of the Midwest Chapter Medical Library Association who has shown outstanding service to the chapter; winner receives a plaque of recognition.
